For more than 30 years Michael Corrente and Pino Salerno’s names have been synonymous with a string of successful hospitality ventures including Stella Blu Café Dee Why Beach, Stella Blu Kitchen and Pizzeria Glenrose Village, Blu Water Grill in Hornsby, Blue Ginger and the award-winning Chon Thai both in Balmain.
In 2017, business partners Pino Salerno and Michael Corrente moved to Drummoyne, taking up residence in the site which was previously the Drummoyne Rowing Club. Situated along the foreshore of the Iron Cove at Sisters Bay with stunning waterfront views overlooking the Parramatta River and Rodd Island, the site has been completely restored and has undergone a complete renovation resulting in a first-class venue. Growing up in Italian families, both Pino and Michael are passionate about bringing people together over good food and drink. Their passion for premium cuisine made with love and a focus on service excellence is what makes their clients return time and time again.
Paying homage to their Italian heritage, Michael and Pino have scouted a talented culinary team from various regions across the boot-shaped peninsula, including head chef Carmine Moffa, to deliver a contemporary seasonally inspired Italian-based menu using only the freshest of local produce. Aqua Luna Waterfront Dining is open to private functions seven days a week. The venue boasts four function spaces complete with a stunning waterfront backdrop - each ideally suited to cater for any function be it an intimate family celebration, large-scale corporate event or grand wedding.
The duo pride themselves on delivering beyond expectations and credit their success to ensuring they always create a unique and memorable experience for each client and their guests. Michael and Pino’s passion for fine food and first-class service assures that Aqua Luna Waterfront Dining offers a premium venue, providing guests with a personal yet exceptional experience.
As we return to what’s now become the ‘new normal’, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal clients, customers, friends, and local community for your incredible support over the last few months. We absolutely loved bringing Italian Marketplace to you each weekend – serving up breakfast, providing much-needed caffeine fixes and offering a wonderful array of Italian specialties to bring comfort during #iso!
However as we ease back, and relish in the comforts of the old while adapting to the new, the time has come to put a ‘pause’ on our Italian Marketplace so we can re-focus our energy in delivering our premium service through Aqualuna Waterfront functions. YES! We are taking bookings and fully operating, observing all restrictions and guidelines set by government and the authorities, so please get in touch to discuss your next function. We can’t wait to welcome you back – be it for your dream wedding, milestone birthday or any special occasion.
And as for our Italian Marketplace, don’t despair – it will pop-up again in the not-to-distant future and in the meantime, we’re still committed to serving up our ready-made sauces and meals, including Nonna’s fabulous meatballs so we can satisfy that craving! DM or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for details of our weekly offerings.
